State transportation officials on Monday, Dec. 6, released a list of recent schedule updates for the LeConte, Kennicott and Aurora ferries, whose schedules have been impacted by overhauls.

The list from the Alaska Department of Transportation & Pubic Facilities included sailings added for the LeConte from Jan. 2-8 to accommodate Lynn Canal passengers affected by the delay of the Matanuska, which is currently in overhaul, and to add service for Hoonah, Gustavus, Angoon and Tenakee.

Sailings were added for the Kennicott from Jan. 6-13, to accommodate a longer than anticipated overhaul for the Matanuska.

Due to regulatory inspections and weather, the Aurora is delaying coming out of the JAG shipyard in Seward. Scheduled service was to begin on Thursday, Dec. 9.

Service notices and schedule updates may be located at dot.alaska.gov/amhs/service_notices.shtml.
