CPD dispatch report

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between April 10, 2023 through April16, 2023. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

APRIL 10, MONDAY:

  • Nothing to report.

APRIL 11, TUESDAY:

  • At 12:46 a.m. a call was received from an alarm company reporting an alarm was detected at a local canary. The fire department was paged and responded. The responsible party was also notified. No fire was found, and the scene was secured.

APRIL 12, WEDNESDAY:

  • Nothing to report.

APRIL 13, THURSDAY:

  • Nothing to report.

APRIL 14, FRIDAY:

  • At 10:26 p.m. a caller reported a disturbance outside her apartment. An officer responded.
  • At 10:30 p.m. a caller reported an electrical fire at the Harbor. The fire department responded.
  • At 10:38 p.m. a caller reported a disturbance in a stairwell. An officer responded.
  • At 11:16 p.m. a citizen was arrested on a Bench Warrant.

APRIL 15, SATURDAY: 

  • At 1:00 a.m. a caller requested assistance for her boyfriend who fell while drunk. An ambulance responded.
  • At 3:03 a.m. an officer provided an individual with a ride to their residence.
  • At 8:20 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop. The driver was issued a warning.

APRIL 16, SUNDAY:

  • At 2:33 a.m. a caller reported a noise complaint. An officer responded.
  • At 3:09 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 1:40 p.m. a caller reported two pigs were running around out at Hartney Bay. An officer responded and advised the owner. 
  • At 10:09 p.m. a caller reported a disturbance at an apartment. An officer responded and spoke with both parties.

DMV HOURS:  Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. The DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
