CPD dispatch report – April 17, 2023 through April 23, 2023

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between April 17, 2023 through April 23, 2023. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

APRIL 17, MONDAY:

  • At 2:45 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 5:20 p.m. a caller reported that there were people stealing parts off cars at the impound lot. An officer responded and trespassed the individuals.
  • At 7:06 p.m. an officer was requested to stand-by at City Hall while an angry citizen discussed their new property tax assessment. An officer responded.

APRIL 18, TUESDAY:

  • Nothing to report.

APRIL 19, WEDNESDAY:

  • At 6:03 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 8:33 a.m. a caller reported an individual was standing in the road, yelling, and waving their arms with their pants down. An officer responded and was unable to find that individual.
  • At 1:36 p.m. a caller reported theft from their savings account. An officer was advised.
  • At 2:07 p.m. an individual was in to report an individual who had been trespassed from a property, has been at that property. An officer was advised.
  • At 3:19 p.m. a caller reported two individuals were intoxicated in public. An officer was advised.
  • At 5:33 p.m. a caller reported a stack fire on a fishing vessel that was outside of Cordova. Fire and EMS responded and met the boat at the Harbor.

APRIL 20, THURSDAY:

  • At 1:23 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 5:53 p.m. a caller reported an individual was driving a minibike on the roadways. An officer responded and advised the individual not to drive minibike on the roadways.

APRIL 21, FRIDAY:

  • At 12:39 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 3:45 a.m. a caller requested an ambulance. An ambulance responded.
  • At 8:24 a.m. a caller reported a vehicle in a ditch, the owner was contacted and advised to move the vehicle.
  • At 12:48 p.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 1:26 p.m. a caller reported their dog was missing, she is a brown Chihuahua mix. An officer was advised.
  • At 6:19 p.m. a caller requested an ambulance for an individual lying in a ditch. An ambulance responded.
  • At 6:36 p.m. a caller requested an ambulance for an individual who had passed out. An ambulance responded.
  • At 7:22 p.m. an individual was arrested for DUI and refusal.

APRIL 22, SATURDAY: 

  • At 12:56 p.m. a caller requested to speak to an officer about a suspicious circumstance. An officer was advised.
  • At 2:16 p.m. an individual was arrested for Violating Conditions of Release and Criminal Mischief.

APRIL 23, SUNDAY:

  • At 3:55 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 2:51 p.m. a caller reported an intoxicated individual. An officer responded.
  • At 6:36 p.m. a caller reported a dog had jumped on their child and scratched them. The dog then ran off. An officer responded.


DMV HOURS:  Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
