Processing donations in the Archives of the Cordova Historical Society led to this lovely, little find – a menu from the Model Café. Operating on First Street, in the early 1920s it changed owners and partners numerous times but was always known for good food.
Shown here are the menu prices and an advertisement from the 1921 Cordova Daily Alaskan when the Model Café was owned and operated by Eddie O’Brien and Billy Finn. Almost every café ad in 1921 promised ‘food cooked well!’
