Cordova — clam capital of the world! What did Cordovans do with all those relatively easy-to-harvest razor clams in the 20s and 30s? Remember Bob Korn? We talked about him a couple of months back — local businessman and supporter of all Cordova youth activities.

Mr. Korn also sponsored, with the help of other good-hearted Cordovan souls, an annual “Clam Chowder Feed” held alongside Eyak Lake and the all-important city airstrip using the hangars to cook and serve all the hungry Cordovans.

Do you remember these clam feeds? Can you add to the local knowledge about the clam feeds? Email crhs59research@gmail.com.
