It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, and wife, Paula Rae (Morris) Sudano, who passed away on Dec. 27, 2023 at the young age of 61, after battling a short illness. Paula was born on Sept. 5, 1962, in Jackson, Mississippi to Anne and Charlie Morris. She was married to Richard “Rick” Sudano for 30 years, and has one son, Nolan Andrew “Drew” Bradley.

Paula grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi, and in 1990, she and Drew moved to Yakutat, Alaska where she met the love of her life, Rick. Paula and Rick married in 1993, and in 1995 they moved to Cordova where they lived for the next 28 years. Earlier this year, Paula and Rick bought a home in Wasilla and were planning for retirement.

Paula lived life to the fullest and on her own terms. She was a die-hard New Orleans Saints fan, she loved to cook, and she loved her beagles. She was a hairstylist by trade and developed a clientele in Cordova for many years.

Paula is preceded in death by her mother, Anne Elizabeth (Etheredge) Morris, and her father, Charles E. Morris, Jr.  She is survived by her husband, Richard “Rick” Sudano; her son, Nolan Andrew “Drew” Bradley of Seattle, Washington; her two sisters, Karen Elizabeth (Morris) Fikse of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jerri Lynn (Morris) Lochner of Eagle River; and several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a celebration of her life is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you donate to your favorite charity in her honor. And in remembrance of Paula, the next time you hear the song “Rebel Rebel” by David Bowie, raise your glass and “get your boogie on.”
