Traveling into chilly Interior Alaska, the Cordova Lady Wolverines came back exhausted but with a split in their last regular season games of the year.

On Friday, Feb. 23, they topped Tok 56-22. Tok had no answer for Cordova’s talented Nothstine twins, who combined for 34 points – 21 from Victoria and 13 from Isabelle.

Cordova led 25-13 at halftime and held Tok scoreless in the last quarter. The 56-point total was the most scored by the CHS girls this season.

Back at Glennallen on Saturday, Feb. 24, Cordova could not stop Glennallen Panther Cheyenne Fields, who poured in 34 of Glennallen’s 48 points. The Panthers played solid defense too, holding Cordova to 6 points in the second half enroute to a 48-19 final.

Victoria Nothstine led Cordova with 7 points.

Cordova now has a weekend off before heading to the Conference Playoffs at Nenana on March 7-9.
