Polkadog Alaskan Salmon Chips created by the Boston-based pet food firm Polkadog took top honors as the grant prize winner in the 2024 Symphony of Seafood, while Echo Falls Smoked Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Nuggets from Ocean Beauty Seafoods won retail competition. 

High Liner Foods placed second with its Sea Cuisine Mediterranean Salmon and Trident Seafoods placed third with Wild Alaska Premium Sockeye Hatch Chile Burger. 

Judges of food service entries selected Kraken Stash IPA Beer Battered Wild Alaska Pollock Fillets by Trident Seafoods as their top choice. Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon Breakfast Sausage by E & E Foods place second. 

A new snack food, Alaska Seafood Crunchies by Glacier Delights dba The Bear House in Alaska, placed first in the Around the Plate category. Smoked Black cod Pate by Whidbey Island Seafood Co., and Smoked Salmon Pepper Sticks by Fisherman’s Kitchen placed second and third respectively. 
Along with top honors in the Beyond The Plate category, Polkadog swept up second and third place in Beyond the Plate with their Polkadog Cod Chips and Polkadog Cod Skins, plus a special award for Best Packaging. 

Echo Falls Smoked Wild Alaskan Salmon Nuggets by Ocean Beauty claimed a special award for Best Grab N Go, while Trident Seafoods’ Kraken Stash IPA Beer Battered Wild Alaska Pollock Fillets won the Whitefish Choice honors.  

Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon Breakfast Sausage by E & E Foods got the special award for Bristol Bay Choice, presented by the Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association.

People’s choice awards, voted on by participants in symphony galas in Seattle and Juneau, went to Smoked Black Cod Pate by Whidbey Island Seafood Co. in Seattle, and Alaska Seafood Crunchies-Wild Fish & Sea Cucumber by Glacier Delights dba Alaska Bear House in Alaska, at the Juneau event.  

The annual seafood competition, organized by the Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation, was supported this year by a number of sponsors, including Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI), Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association (BBRSDA), Bristol Bay Economic Development Corporation (BBEDC), Alaska Air Cargo, Pacific Seafood Processors Association, UniSea, Trident Seafoods, Aleutian Pribilof Islands Community Development Quota, Alaskan Observers, F/V McRea, F/V Savage, Alaska Commercial Fishing & Agriculture Bank, SeaAlaska, Southeast Pilots Association, Matson, North Pacific Seafoods, Global Seas, At-Sea Processors Association, and Yukon Delta Fisheries Development Association.
