The Cordova Volunteer Fire Department and the Department of Homeland Security and Environmental Management is partnering to offer a Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERT) for the City of Cordova. The course will educate community members who are interested in volunteering in an emergency, including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations. The CERT team members will continue to meet once a month for volunteer training. The course will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 12, 13 and 14.
