SERVS (Ship Escort/Response Vessel System) students take a coffee break before returning to their outdoor stations. Copper River Seafoods and the Little Chapel are among several local facilities that donate space for classrooms. Training exercises include two days of indoor and outdoor stations followed by an all-day on-the-water simulation drill. The spring fleet is divided into several groups that train April 24 through May 2. The second half of the Cordova fleet conducts its annual oil-spill response training each fall.
