CRWP: Bundle your nets before donating

The Copper River Watershed Project has gathered 21,000 pounds of fishing net for recycling since the beginning of July. However, the program has been hampered by donations of difficult-to-handle loose netting.

Charges filed in deadly SUV crash

One man died following an Oct. 8 SUV accident, Cordova Police Department reports. The driver, 50-year-old Jesse James Jones of Cordova, has been charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, driving under the influence, and misconduct involving weapons in the fourth degree.

Foot searches for a missing hunter will resume Friday morning, planned aerial searches having been delayed by rough weather. It's thought possible that Durco has been stranded to the west of Devil’s Spine, an elevated ridge near McKinley Lake.
