The Cordova Legislative Information Office will reopen Dec. 20. Hours are 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m. weekdays, according to the Alaska Legislature website.
The LIO is reopening in preparation for the next regular session of the Alaska Legislature, which begins Jan. 21.
The LIO offers residents assistance in keeping track of legislation, communication with legislators, testifying at teleconferenced hearings, submitting written testimony, and researching laws and statutes, according to the Alaska Legislature website. It is also possible for residents to access LIO services outside of regular hours, by appointment.
