New virus case is connected to Oct. 2 case

Cordova’s 21st case of the novel coronavirus was reported Tuesday, Oct. 6. The coronavirus-positive individual was identified during contact tracing of a previous virus case reported Oct. 2. The newly identified coronavirus-positive individual is not a Cordova resident, public health officials said.

Of the 21 cases identified in Cordova so far, 10 have been residents and 11 have been non-residents. All but the two most recently identified cases have recovered.

In an announcement, city of Cordova health officials asked community members to observe masking and social distancing guidelines. More information can be found at the city of Cordova’s online COVID-19 dashboard.
