A Cordova resident who was infected with the novel coronavirus died Wednesday, Nov. 18, officials announced. The deceased individual was previously admitted to hospital for non-coronavirus-related end-of-life care, where the virus was discovered during screening.
In a statement, the Cordova Medical Response Team extended their condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
Of the 43 local virus cases reported so far, 39 are presumed recovered. Twenty-nine cases have been Cordova residents and 14 have been non-residents. More information can be found at the city of Cordova’s online COVID-19 dashboard.
