The latest: New COVID-19 cases still in double digits
The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services on Tuesday, July 14, announced 54 more Alaskans in nine communities had tested positive, plus 14 nonresidents. Overall 1,579 residents have tested positive, plus 320 nonresidents.
Alaska: Single-day infections in triple digits
New cases of the novel coronavirus reached into the triple digits during the weekend, to include 93 residents in 18 communities, including Cordova, plus 23 nonresidents in six areas of Alaska.

Numbers of people testing positive for the novel coronavirus in Alaska are mounting, with 78 new cases on Saturday, July 11, the highest single-day count yet, state health officials said.
Alaska COVID-19 count climbs to 1,323

AMHS passenger tests positive in Cordova
A passenger aboard the M/V Kennicott who tested negative before departing from Bellingham on June 27 tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Cordova on July 3, officials with the Alaska Marine Highway System confirmed on Sunday, July 5.
