Allison wins Cordova mayoral race by 2 votes

Cordova City Council voted unanimously Wednesday, March 16, to certify the results of the 2022 mayoral election in favor of candidate David Allison.

Cordova Council discusses local election, south harbor project

Cordova City Council convened March 2 to discuss myriad of topics, including the south harbor rebuild. The city is intent on keeping the project rolling and is on a quest for more funding. An overwhelming majority of Cordovans voted yes on Proposition 1, which allows the city to take a $2 million dollar Department of Environmental Conservation loan.

Polls open for Election Day in Cordova

Cordova residents go to the polls on March 1 to elect a new mayor, city council members and school board members and to decide on a $2 million ballot proposition to help finance rebuilding of the city’s South Harbor. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cordova Center Community Room A.
