Mt. Eccles Elementary School Students observed light-emitting organisms in Orca Inlet. The after-dark field excursions were led by Prince William Sound Science Center oceanographer Rob Campbell aboard the research vessel M/V New Wave.

Balloon project left up in the air

Mt. Eccles Elementary School students helped launch a helium-filled balloon equipped with a transmitter. The project was funded by the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and the Teacher Innovator Institute.

ASAA cancels fall state championships, postpones other activities

Effective Oct. 13, the Alaska School Activities Association canceled state tournaments in all fall sports, and postponed other activities.
