Mt. Eccles introduces character awards program

“As adults, we tend to use words like ‘respect’ like, ‘Be respectful! That was disrespectful!’ but without letting the kids know what that actually means,” Principal Gayle Groff said. “They’re going to have a lot better chance of being respectful if they understand what being respectful looks like.”

CHS Robotics freshmen make first appearance

Last month the CHS Robotics freshman team attended their first competition on Nov. 23 at a Southcentral league meet to compete against 16 other teams from Anchorage, Wasilla, Kodiak and Seward.

Cordova volleyball squad finishes successful season

A young Cordova Wolverine volleyball team finished the season with an 8-4 conference record, and placed third at the regional playoffs at Cook Inlet Academy on Nov. 21-23.
